Mike received his undergraduate degree at California State University, Bakersfield in 1976. He received his J.D. at University of Pacific McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento in 1980, and was admitted to the State Bar of California that same year. He is admitted to the U.S. District Courts the Eastern, Central, Northern, and Southern Districts of California. A Martindale-Hubbell BV rated attorney, Mike has over 30 years of legal experience in civil litigation, casualty and personal injury defense, insurance defense, uninsured motorist arbitration, construction defect litigation, product liability defense, commercial, real estate and business litigation, government tort claim defense, construction contract litigation, probate litigation, FELA defense, as well as bankruptcy, and debtor-creditor rights. Mike has taken mediation training at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law, and he has acted as a mediator in over 60 cases for the Kern County Superior Court and as a private mediator. He is an approved ADR panel member for the Kern County Superior Court, a member of the Kern County Bar Association, also serving as an arbitrator.
