James J. Kroll, Jr.Of CounselModesto Office James J. Kroll, Jr. is Of Counsel in the Modesto office of Borton Petrini, LLP. Jim received his undergraduate degree from San Francisco State University in 1966. In 1970, Jim received a master’s degree in history from San Francisco State University. While engaged in a career as a public high school teacher, Jim attended the University of San Francisco School of Law where he was an honor student and member of the McAuliffe Scholastic Honor Society. Jim received his juris doctorate degree from the University of San Francisco in 1976, and was admitted to the California State Bar that same year. After a brief career as a Deputy District Attorney with the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s office from 1977-1978, Jim returned to the San Joaquin Valley where he was born and raised. Since 1978, Jim has been in private practice in Modesto, California and has been General Counsel to the Housing Authority of the County of Stanislaus since 1982. His present practice emphasis is real estate law, business law, corporate law, construction law, public housing law, estate planning, probate and trust administration. |
