Jason A. CohenAttorneySan Diego Office Although he has performed as a stand-up comic in comedy clubs, it is no laughing matter when Jason Cohen is involved in trial. Personal injury, employment, insurance coverage, construction defect, and business litigation matters are just some of the fields in which Jason practices as an attorney in the San Diego office of Borton Petrini, LLP. His background suits him well for the “people business” of the practice of law and litigation. After obtaining a degree in philosophy at George Mason University and prior to law school, he worked in a variety of jobs dealing with people with extreme positions and personalities as a behavioral therapist. While in law school, he completed two trials, both civil and criminal, and interned with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission where he published articles regarding employment law and litigation used by the EEOC attorneys during oral presentation. Upon graduating from the University of San Diego Law School in 2001, Jason became a member of the State Bar and County Bar, as well as other associations, both professionally and outside the area of the law. Consistent with the challenges of law and as an adjunct to life as a litigator, Jason enjoys jujitsu, surfing, guitar, his family, and ongoing comedic endeavors. He is a regular presenter to groups regarding his practice areas. |
