Practicing law for over a quarter of a century, he has developed a specialty in trial litigation in areas such as insurance defense, personal injury, products liability, professional errors and omissions and premises liability. For two years, Mr. Cockrell was chief litigation counsel for Farmers Insurance Group of Companies in San Bernardino and Riverside counties for its investigation, enforcement and litigation of SIU/Fraud cases. Mr. Cockrell received training with the National Insurance Crime Bureau. As a result of his background in SIU/Fraud, Mr. Cockrell has gained extensive experience in the use of computers and software packages to track tens of thousands of facts, issues, documents, people and relationships. Mr. Cockrell’s experience in major exposure casualty litigation includes amusement parks, auto, trucking, premises, wrongful death and medical malpractice. His trial work has incorporated the use of computer graphics in both animation and simulation.

In two catastrophic injury cases, he was able to have simulation admitted as substantive evidence. Mr. Cockrell has joined his trial and computer background to participate in agricultural and toxic tort litigation. When not involved in litigation, Mr. Cockrell advises in health care and general business matters.
