Richard D. BrownSenior CounselBakersfield Office Richard D. Brown is a Senior Counsel in the Bakersfield office of Borton Petrini, LLP. Richard received his Bachelor's of Science Degree from the University of Oregon in 1970, and earned his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, in 1975. Richard was a Member of the Asklepiads Honorary Fraternity and served as President of his fraternity. He was also a Member of the Drakes and Decoys Society at the University of Oregon. Richard received an American Jurisprudence Award during his attendance at McGeorge School of Law. Before joining the Firm, Richard worked on cases involving commercial litigation, insurance law, business, real estate, and corporate transactional matters. Richard uses this experience in his successful practice of business, civil and commercial litigation here at the Firm. Richard's practice focuses on cases involving commercial litigation, real estate litigation, forensic accounting, railroad law, agricultural law, insurance law and other litigation. Complex litigation is one of Richard's areas of interest. Richard believes that belonging to professional organizations keeps him current and helps better serve his clients. Richard is a member of the State Bar of California, State Bar of Nevada, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Defense Research Institute, and the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Central District of California and before the United States District Court, District of Nevada. |
